Introduction
Registrar:
Croeso, G'day, hello and welcome everybody.

On behalf of Mike and Jamie I would like to welcome you, their family and friends who have travelled distances far and wide to be with them on this special day and for having travelled with them on the journey through their fifteen year relationship together. Today they will affirm their love and publicly declare their commitment to each other.

We are about to witness the formation of Mike and Jamie's civil partnership. Before we begin, I must ask that if any person present knows of any legal impediment to the formation of this civil partnership, he or she should declare it now.

It has been written: 'Two shall be born a whole wide world apart
And one day out of darkness they shall stand
And read life's meaning in each other's eyes.'

As most of you know Jamie was born in Australia and Mike in Wales but four continents and three oceans couldn't keep them apart - they were destined to meet. Duncan Alexander who was responsible for introducing them to each other in 1991 will now read for us.

[Duncan comes to the stage for the reading]

Registrar:
Mike and Jamie have chosen to affirm their 15 years together and pledge themselves to each other in the eyes of the law. Partnership requires devotion, the ability to listen, the wisdom to know when we are wrong, and the humility to be able to put things right. Above all it requires a sense of humour.
Jamie and Mike, we who are witnessing your civil partnership, hope that despite the stresses inevitable in any life, your Love, trust and understanding of each other, will increase your contentment and heighten your joy.

Jamie's Personal Vow

Jamie:
As the curtain goes up and we take to the stage together for this new chapter in our life, I pledge that I will give you my unending love and support. There may be moments of comedy and tragedy, we may sing and dance together, there will be moments when each of us will be in the spot light whilst the other is in the wings, but you will always be my leading man until we take our final curtain call.

Mike's Personal Vow

Mike:
As we embark on this new phase of our life together, our relationship finally recognised in law, I pledge that I will nurture and care for you as I do for my leathers, treat future moments of sadness and harshness with the tenderness of feathers and whilst we may have tantrums and differences, to always recognise that our love is a great treasure, more valuable than a world full of tiaras.

Words of Love

Registrar:
From Greek philosophers to 21st Century pop stars there have been many words written, spoken and sung about love and relationships. It would be impossible to say them all today, in the same way it would be impossible to involve all the family and friends who have shared Mike and Jamie's fifteen year journey.

The love and support of family and friends have been an vital part of the years Jamie and Mike have shared together. Therefore, 15 reflections on love for each of the 15 years Mike and Jamie have shared together, will now be read by some of the friends who have shared their journey, introduced by Duncan.

[From where they are in the room, the 15 friends will stand and read their quotations]

Registrar:
The rings Mike and Jamie have presented to each other today were made in Australia and inscribed in Welsh. Those words are a translation of the pledge that they have made to each other, reading Come What May.

Come What May
Sung by Mike and Jamie

Conclusion
Registrar:
Mike and Jamie, let the whole world recognise your deep commitment to each other which you have affirmed here before you family and friends today. May you treasure this trust and responsibility, may no failure nor misfortune ever part you, and may you live full and rich lives together.

Congratulations to you both.

Ladies and Gentlemen please rise for the couple as they leave the room to meet you for photographs on the grand staircase.
