Very few restrictions! No corkage, hidden fees, 48 hour 'in and out' schedules. We are very relaxed and focused on the importance of the couple enjoying their day, in the style they prefer.
Barnston Lodge offers the opportunity for you to tailor make your wedding exacly how you want it. We can do as much or as little of the organising as you wish. Bring your own drink, food and music, or leave it for us to arrange.
Couples hire the grounds with a marquee. Guest numbers can range from a small number to 300ish. You are limited only by the size of marquee.
Particular features of the grounds include ancient trees and lovely old-fashioned roses, the unusual Summer House which has a huge, stone fireplace as well as electricity and other services, and also the lake, which is a haven for wildlife with rare black swans, guinea fowl and ducks.
The lake has a pretty jetty, a perfect location for waterside pictures. The stone steps of the main house are excellent for group family photographs and lead down to large, flat lawns.
There is plenty of parking in the paddock and there is hard parking if wet. We are conscious of people needing to budget and we will give a fixed estimate once we meet you and assess your requirements. There are outbuildings that can be hired. Some caterers also hire the house kitchen.
