Dorset is a beautiful county - there is a wide range of wedding venues to choose from whether it is in the towns of Bournemouth, Weymouth, Dorchester, Poole, Shaftesbury or Sherborne or in the countryside.
At your civil partnership ceremony, you could have readings from Thomas Hardy, the author who set many of his books in the area.
If you or your guests want to stay on for the weekend, there are some fantastic walks in the area, especially along the clean, sandy beaches. These include Lulworth Cover, Chesil Beach and Lyme Bay.
You could also visit Corfe Castle - one of the most romantic ruins in Britain.
