Sappho Quartet

The Sappho Quartet is Brighton based, but we are willing to travel, covering the area of the South East of England and London. The service we can provide for you is outlined below and is, of course, flexible in accordance with your desires for your Wedding Ceremony.

Our repertoire includes a variety of Jazz, folk music, light classic and modern popular dance hall songs. With advance notice we will cater to your special requests.

Wedding Service

1. The Sappho Quartet will arrive 30 minutes before the start of the service and provide light music whilst guests are being seated.
2. During the service we will perform as the couple enters, during the signing of the register and for the exit of the couple as well as accompanying Hymns (if appropriate or wanted).
3. We will perform whilst the guests are leaving.

Wedding Reception

1. The Sappho Quartet will be seated approximately 20 minutes before the wedding party enters the reception room.
2. We will provide light classics during the reception. The programme of music can be arranged in advance to meet with the tastes of the wedding party and the desired atmosphere.
3. We will stop playing during the speeches and either then leave or continue as the couple wish.
