The Old Rectory
The Old Rectory is a pretty, thatched 16th century house set in glorious gardens deep in the peaceful countryside. The house features oak panelling, wonderful carved oak beams and flagstoned floors. Over the years we have won several awards for our hospitality including one of Which? Hotels top 30 hotels, Best Bed and Breakfast in the South West of England and have been described by Mary Gold in The Times as one of the Top 10 Most Romantic Hotels in the World.
We specialise in small civil ceremonies - up to 25 guests. We can accommodate up to 10 resident guests in five luxurious ensuite bedrooms and up to 20 dining guests - although we can fit a few more in for a buffet. We are happy to cater in-house for up to 10 diners and can recommend several superb outside caterers for more than this. We are fully licensed.
The house is quiet and discreet and lends itself to entertaining small groups of friends and family. You may take the house for a few hours for the ceremony only, or the whole house for one or more days. It is the ideal place for a romantic, intimate celebration for those who enjoy high quality luxurious surroundings, attention to detail and personalised service.
