Once the home of rock star Ian Gillan from the band, Deep Purple, the hotel still has the swimming pool he built in the shape of a guitar.
It is the ideal place for a wedding weekend and golf loving guests can take advantage of the onsite 18 hole golf course (designed by former Ryder Cup player, Brian Huggett) which flanks the banks of the River Thames. Other facilities include a putting green, croquet lawn, coarse fishing on the Thames, a sauna and aforementioned outdoor pool (seasonal). There are also some breathtaking walks along the Thames Path and the Ridgeway. Other activities such as shooting and horse riding can be arranged nearby.
