The University's wide range of venues for both civil wedding ceremonies and/or receptions, caters for small gatherings of 20 to grander affairs for 550 guests, and all offering superb opportunities for the all-important photography.

The magnificent neo-Gothic Whitworth Hall and Council Chamber, overlooking a beautiful ivy-clad quadrangle, are ideal for elegant weddings, whilst our more modern banqueting suites offer venues for more relaxed celebrations.

If you prefer a 'country house' setting, Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre, set in five acres of landscaped gardens provides the complete package with a civil wedding licence, hotel accommodation and beautiful dining areas. We even have a Grade 1 listed stately home Tabley House, whose finely furnished rooms and terraced lawns overlook acres of Cheshire countryside.

Every wedding is special and unique, and we understand how to tailor all requirements to each individual couple, which is why we like to discuss your wishes in detail, and only then show you the most suitable venues.
