Other than Wimbledon, festivals and sunburn, British summertime is also wedding time. British weather, being unpredictable means the window of opportunity to get married in the sun is rather small. This has resulted in the vast majority of weddings taking place from May to August. So if you are between the ages of 25 and 35, this summer could be rather busy for you as friends and relatives try to make the most of the sunshine to tie the knot.

Many weddings take place in the countryside, in small villages or country mansions and accommodation options in the vicinity will be few and far between. As far as clothing goes, although you may want to make a statement with your wedding outfit, if the dress and shoes are too bold and bright you probably won't be able to get away with wearing them twice in one wedding season. If the weddings are completely unlinked in any way then you can probably wangle it, but otherwise you need to think about a classic style in muted colours. The same goes for your shoes.
